Perfekt zum Reisen

Da ich oft mit dem Flugzeug reisen muss, um zu meinen Auftrittsorten zu gelangen, gab es immer nur zwei Möglichkeiten:
1. die Gitarre kommt in den Passagierraum, benötigt aber einen eigenen Sitz
2. die Gitarre wird als Fracht aufgegeben, aber dafür muss der Koffer extrem stabil sein

Einmal habe ich eine Reise mit einem herkömmlichen Hartschalengitarrenkoffer angetreten, aber das war auf mehreren Ebenen einen Fiasko.

Hat die Gitarre einen eigenen Sitzplatz, wird es teuer. Die meisten Fluggesellschaften buchen den Sitz so, als säße dort ein Mensch.
Ich habe das lange so gemacht, viel Geld bezahlt und musste jedes Mal mit den Flugbegleiterinnen diskutieren. Trotz des Tickets.

Mit dem ENKI X-3 habe ich den perfekten Begleiter für meine Gitarre(n). Es passen zwei Instrumente in den Koffer, auch für Equipment wie Effektgeräte oder Kabel ist noch Platz. Der Koffer ist extrem stabil, lässt sich mit einem TSA-Bügelschloss absichern - und der Zoll kann trotzdem reingucken.
Die Rollen sind stabil und leichtgängig, das Ziehen des Koffers ist extrem einfach.
Und wenn im Wartebereich keine freien Plätze zu finden sind, dient der Koffer auch als Bank.

Es gibt zwar keine Anleitungen für das Positionieren der Schaumstoffelemente, aber das war für mich kein Problem. Am Ende steht für mich ein perfektes Gepäckstück, das meine Instrumente schützt und mein restliches Gepäck entlastet, weil ich die Technik ebenfalls darin verstauen kann. Gerade für diejenigen, die mehr als ein Instrument dabei haben wollen, ist dieser Koffer eine extrem gute Lösung.

Safe and secure

I purchased this case after too many incidents with other hard shell travel cases, and I needed something that would be really secure on long haul trips. It is large and bulky, but not too heavy. It moves easily and feels solid and balanced. It comes with lots of foam inserts but it does not come with any information on set up recommendations or where to place the foam on the inside of the case. There is no information leaflet, no warranty information - no label or tags on it at all. (It also arrived in a box that said ENKI X2 which threw me!). The carrying handle indent on the inside is completely exposed plastic, with no insulation, and very near the guitars, which seems like an odd design decision.

Good for a battering

We were traveling across the world with a Scott Dixon. While it looked shiny and flashy, nothing beats the ENKI. The airlines can throw this about as much as they please, I know that on the other side my guitars will all be in one piece.
