Awesome, Versatile Guitar

I've had this guitar for 4 months, and it has become my go to guitar for practicing and recording every day. I found the Jackson (despite it's shred/metal looks) to be very practical for lots of genres/styles of guitar playing. Build quality looks very good, I can't see any scratches in the body and the neck doesn't show any tooling marks. The frets are well polished and the setup and intonation from factory was very good. The fretboard with black ebony and small inlays looks really good and most importantly feels great under your finders. The compound neck is really great, this is my first compound radius neck and it feels really natural very quickly. The neck thickness is slim, not as super skinny as an Ibanez RG neck, yet not as thick as a typical ESP 14" LTD neck. The seymour duncan pickup are excellent, they give a nice smooth response, not muddy or harsh and sound great on recordings. I prefer the neck and bridge pickups on their own rather than positions 2,3,4. This is the hardtail version, so no messing with a FR for string changes, the fixed bridge is low profile and doesn't interfere with your hand when muting. Slight downsides are that the tuning seems to drift more than I experience with some other guitars, so I often find after a day or two some strings my be slightly flat or sharp. The included gigbag is OK, there is some padding in it, but you need to be careful carrying it around as a knock or bump might damage the guitar.
